Modern Art Gone to Pot

People have differing opinions on modern art and the artists who are recognized as pioneers. It's hard to minimize the influence these artists have had on how we view the world. Good or bad, modern art has dramatically influenced the way we perceive things.  Architecture, music, industrial design, fashion, and movies are all shaped  by the concept of what makes art - art. These images pay tribute to some of the visual artists who have influenced our idea of art. Thankfully, art has to stand on its own. No school of thought, amount of explanation -- or rationalization -- can make a piece of art

better or worse.
